The studio is finished. Work continues on the house and I sit here trying to figure out the next step in my life. We have some great things lined up for the studio (knock on wood that they go forward) which will change the course of my personal life quite a bit. I am learning so much about myself through all this and I want to keep learning. I wish it took less time to get to a point where I am not so bloody anxious all the time, but such is life. Having this new purpose and a full-time cause has really been helpful in that way. As the sun sets on this chapter, a new dawn is within reach for the next. With some bumps along the way and a long time in the making, the result is truly perfect…

Nevermind the ridiculous gap in dates between this and the last entry.
Hopewell Recording 2.0 is underway! I have the pictures to prove it! Demolition has started, and we are awaiting the completion of acoustic models/construction blueprints. There is also much underway on the main house, but for now, here are the first photos after Day 1:

things are afoot that are set to change the course of my life. i probably won’t keep you posted, since i don’t tend to keep up on that.
i’m sick of the internet, anyway. i want to get rid of everything i own. my computer, my cell-phone, my television… these things just make me unhappy. i’m living my life through these tools, and in doing so, i’m living life indirectly. i want to be a part of the world and a part of life, and yes, i do blame the digital age and my addiction to all its tools for keeping me from that. it’s made me afraid to live. so i want to give it up. too bad that’s impossible.

i just think everyone that gave thom yorke’s the eraser an average or sub-par review needs to go back and revise it after having had some time to listen to it. i can almost guarantee every single review will then tell of how progressive and multi-layered it really is.
